Statistics Prove Quality of Care, June 2010

AIMS continually emphasizes advanced, high-quality patient care. Recent statistics at one local hospital show that AIMS physicians have significantly lower:

  • patient mortality rates
  • patient complication rates

AIMS hospitalists actively manage patient care in a way that does not compromise patient quality, yet with an eye to saving expenses for healthcare entities. Recent statistics show that hospital Length of Stay (LOS) for AIMS patients averages 4.48 days compared to an LOS of 5.65 days for non-AIMS physicians.

AIMS works continually to reduce patient complications and readmissions. At one local hospital, AIMS has a 2.66% 30-Day readmission rate for the same MS-DRG compared to a 3.02% rate for non-AIMS physicians.

AIMS staff minimizes the use of diagnostic studies, keeping average cost per patient to $9,116 compared to $10,691 for non-AIMS physicians at one hospital.

Specialist consults average just one per inpatient stay compared with 1.2 for non-AIMS physicians.
